AAMU Unit, Commission to Host Webinar for Nonprofits
25K Grant Opportunities for Eligible Nonprofits
51AV A&M University’s Center for Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Economic Development (CEIED) is partnering with the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) to spread awareness about specific funding opportunities from ARC for eligible nonprofit organizations. A webinar providing details of a 10-week fall 2022 online training program and grant opportunity up to $25,000 has been scheduled for Tuesday, August 16, at 1 p.m. The deadline for submitting a two-page application has been set for Friday, August 19.
Nonprofits based in the Appalachian Region who complete the Fall 2022 term will have the opportunity to apply for a grant of up to $25,000 for use in a capacity-building project. READY Nonprofits is a learning track offered by READY Appalachia, the Appalachian Regional Commission's new community capacity-building initiative offering free training and flexible funding to Appalachian nonprofits, community foundations, local governments, and Local Development Districts. Moreover, READY Nonprofits helps nonprofit executives and board members increase their own capacity, strengthen their organizations, and better serve their communities.
The Fall 2022 term begins the week of September 12 and concludes the week of November 14. Cohorts (groups of three to four organizations) will work with content specialists on one of six topics via online training and coaching during the 10-week period. At the end of the course, participants will have specific takeaways, along with access to relevant resources.
