AAMU OneCard

Preview of the AAMU OneCardThe AAMU OneCard is an official 51AV A&M University picture ID card. In addition to identifying the relationship with 51AV A&M University, the card provides access to campus events and activities, residence halls/other buildings, parking, and meal plans. Meal plans may only be used via the ID card or cash must be used to purchase a meal.

Who qualifies for a card?

  • Students

    Students that are currently enrolled will receive their initial AAMU OneCard free of charge.

    Permanent employees of 51AV A&M University, defined as receiving benefits, are entitled to a free AAMU OneCard as a condition of their employment.

    Any Member of the College Board is entitled to a free card.

How to Submit your photo

  • Step 1: Have both your Chosen ID Photo and Photo of your Government Issued ID ready

    Guidelines and Tips for Taking Your Photo, please follow these guidelines:

    • Be sure that photos are not in “live” mode.
    • Photos that are too big will display a message stating the photo cannot be greater than 2MB, please crop the photo until it is just around your face and re-submit.
    • Photos that are too small will display a message stating the photo must be greater than 300KB. Try taking a photo using the rear-facing camera and re-submitting.
    • Heavily filtered photos will not be accepted (i.e. Snapchat or Instagram filters)
    • Should be cropped slightly above the head to middle of chest
    • Should be taken against a plan/solid wall (one color that is smooth and not textured) background
    • Must be a color photo
    • Must not include sunglasses or hat
    • Must be positioned directly facing the camera
    • Eyes should be open and looking at the camera
    • Photo of government issued photo ID (passport, driver’s license) required in next step
    • Please make sure you are wearing a shirt

    You need a chosen ID photo and a photo of your government issued ID (typically a photo of your driver’s license or passport) before moving on to Step 2.

    Follow these guidelines on how to submit your ID photo and photo of your government issued ID. 

    Click on the Submit Your Photo button and login with your A-number and password.

    Then, scroll down and click on the link to submit a new photo. Upload your ID photo or drag it into the box provided. Upload the photo of your government issued ID or drag it into the box provided. Click on the Submit and Sign Out button.

    Remember, you are always welcome to come to our office to have your picture taken if you prefer.

    You will receive an email informing you if your photo was approved or denied.

Replacement Cards

If the most recently issued ID card becomes unusable due to normal wear and tear, it will be replaced at no charge. If for any other reason an ID card needs to be replaced fees will be charged as follows:

  1. Off Campus students: $30.00
  2. On Campus Students: $60.00
  3. All Others: $15.00

This fee may be paid at the Cashier’s Window, online or by placing a fee on a student’s account.
