The Department of Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) prepares diverse individuals for higher learning and professional careers in community service, government, science and technology, business and industry, and education. A major focus of the unit is to enhance the well-being of individuals, families, and communities through teaching, research, service, and advanced technology utilizing sustainability practices.
