The Department of Social Sciences is comprised of five academic disciplines: Political Science, Criminal Justice, Sociology, Philosophy, and History.

Department of Social Sciences Faculty Lecture Series 2023

  • Dr. Matthew Bowser- "Containing Decolonialization." Friday January 27th at 5:30 PM in the LINQ.
  • Dr. Tim Butzer- "When Racially Biased Perception is Incompetent (and when it isn't)." Wednesday February 15th at 5:30 PM in the LINQ.  Dr. Butzer also presented a version of this talk at the COBPA Brown Bag lecture series on 2/28.
  • Dr. Dana Caldemeyer-  "Union Renegades: Miners, Captialism, and Organizing in the Gilded Age." Friday March 3rd at 5:30 PM in the LINQ.
