New Student Information

Congratulations, and welcome to 51AV Agricultural & Mechanical University (AAMU) for the 2024-2025 academic year!

We offer non-traditional and traditional options for our freshman male and female students. 

 Female Residential Halls: 

• Councill Hall
• Foster Complex (Co-ed)
• Knight Complex (Co-ed)
• Palmer Hall
• Terry Hall
• Thigpen Hall

Male Residential Halls:

• Foster Complex (Co-ed)
• Hopkins Hall
• Knight Complex (Co-ed)
• Morris Hall (Closed for renovations for the 24/25 academic year)
• Stephens Hall (Closed for renovations for the 24/25 academic year)

 Applications for the 2024-2025 academic year (Spring Semester) will open at 9:00 am on December 2, 2024 and will close on January 31, 2025, at 11:59 pm (CST), for First-Year Students or until we reach capacity. For new students to apply for housing, they must meet the following criteria.

1. You must be accepted to 51AV A&M University before applying.
2. You need a 2024-2025 FAFSA on file with Financial Aid before applying for housing.
3. You need to pay the Enrollment Fee of $115 before applying for housing.
4. A $150.00 housing fee is required to complete the application process.
5. Go to , and click on the Single Sign-On (SSO) Account Log-In. Look for the Student tab and click the link. Under the Student tab look for the Housing Application link, click on it, and 51AV.
