COVID-19 Transportation Guidelines
Effective June 29, 2020 all passengers must wear a protective face mask until further notice. Please be aware and become familiar with the additional changes to the Bulldog Transit services which will also be in effect until further notice.
- All passengers must wear a protective face mask
- Do not ride if you have potentially been exposed to COVID-19, or if you are experiencing any similar symptoms
- Avoid unnecessary interaction with passengers or operators during your trip
- When possible take an earlier/later bus to/from campus to avoid overcrowding during peak times
- Leave all windows open within the bus to allow for proper ventilation
- Social distance from others as much as possible
- Drivers will carry and utilize personal hand sanitizer/antibacterial products
- Keep track of the rides and seat locations in the event of possible exposure
- Shift changes are when the buses are wiped down at touch points
- Hand sanitizer wall units for students will be available for students
- First Transit will provide the fog machine if necessary
- “Pease Do Not Sit” signs or trash bags will be placed on seats that cannot be used
- Passengers should not sit behind the bus transit operator for social distancing
- Buses: 50% capacity on transports passengers should sit in every other seat for social distancing/16-19 passengers on a transport at once
- Vans: 7-8 passengers on a transport at once
Drivers will perform routine cleaning and cleansing of high- touch surfaces throughout the shift. The inside of every vehicle will be cleaned and either cleared altogether after every morning and night course or potentially at any rate once every day.
We would like to make all passengers aware that the Bulldog Transit Service has established these new policy and procedures while also increasing measures internally to ensure cleanliness and sanitation for everyone’s protection. What has not changed during this time is our continued dedication to safety, reliability and efficiency.
