Bulldog Parent University
Bulldog Parent University includes a webinar series hosted by the Office of Multicultural Affairs with support from departments across the university campus intended to help first year parents and families understand how to best support their student(s) while attending 51AV A&M University.
This series of webinars will be hosted on Zoom from 6:00pm – 7:30 pm CST. The schedule of upcoming webinars is below.

- August 26, 2024: Living and Learning at AAMU
This session will focus on student safety, dining services, financial aid awards, payment plans, and FERPA.
- September 16, 2024: Student Engagement and Involvement
This session will cover student leadership and involvement opportunities, mentorship, academic and professional opportunities, and empowerment.
- October 21, 2024: No Time to Fall Back!
This session will cover mid-year updates regarding residential life and housing, student accounts, financial aid, and academic resources.

This session will cover end of term updates, academic advising and registration for Spring 2025, and preparation for holiday move out.
- January 20, 2025: Securing the Bag!
This session will cover the steps for applying for Financial Aid for the 2025-2026 academic year and, understanding FERPA.
- February 17, 2025: What’s On Your Mind?
This session will focus on student safety, mental health and wellness, and career development.
- March 24, 2025: Spring AHEAD!
This session will focus on steps for registration for Summer and Fall semester, academic support, learning resources, and career development opportunities.
- April 21, 2025: On the MOVE!
This session will focus on moving out procedures and upcoming housing application requirements.
