Goals of the program
- Provide a guide/mentor to new or incoming students
- Enhance the professional networks of both mentees and mentors.
- Make underclassmen more aware of the importance of their professional organizations (i.e. Food Science Club and Animal Bio-Health Sciences Club) and increase attendance at monthly departmental meetings.
Bulldog Buddy mentors may assist mentees with studying, take mentees on social outings and attend joint departmental activities (Bulldog Buddy Nights).
Past activities
In recent years, Bulldog Buddy Nights have consisted of movie-watching, bowling and jumping around at the local trampoline park.
Outcome
The Bulldog Buddy program has connected many long-lasting relationships that enhance the professional development of all students.
