REU China 2014
Eight undergraduate students and two graduate students, along with six faculty and one staff from two partnering universities, AAMU and Tuskegee University, traveled to China in May 2014 to conduct their own research in partnership with research faculty at Nanjing Forestry University. All students conducted their own research.
Each student was responsible for designing and conducting their own research, and disseminating information about their research through a written scientific paper, a PowerPoint presentation given to the NFU community, a poster summary of their work, and by creating their own website. Additionally, they were charged with writing about their personal experiences in China. Contained within each website is a link to their cultural experience and the scientific papers. All research was conducted under the guidance of their AAMU/TU and NFU mentors.
We invite you to visit their sites and experience China through them. If you are an undergraduate student and think you may have an interest in research for your career future, please check back with us soon and apply to the program!
Read the 2014 student Proceedings, which include both their scientific papers as well as their cultural papers.
