Responsible Conduct in Research Training
51AV A&M University provides Responsible Conduct in Research (“RCR”) training to the university research community via online RCR training and through RCR training seminars. RCR training is overseen by the University’s Office of Research Compliance in coordination with faculty, administration, and staff who are performing and/or overseeing research occurring at the university.
Online RCR Training
NIFA: USDA’s National Institute for Food and Agriculture’s RCR Training Requirement
NIFA requires all program directors, faculty, graduate students, undergraduate students, postdoctoral researchers and staff who are paid from NIFA grants receive training in Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR). The RCR training provided to each individual must be documented and is subject to NIFA review. Full text can be found on page 5 of the .
NSF: National Science Foundation’s RCR Training Requirement
NSF requires all undergraduate, graduate students and postdocs who receive NSF support (salary and/or stipend) to conduct research be provided training in the Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR).
NIH: National Institutes of Health’s RCR Training Requirement
NIH requires all trainees, fellows, participants, and scholars receiving support through any NIH training, career development award (individual or institutional), research education grant, and dissertation research grant receive training in Responsible Conduct of Research.
AAMU Training Requirement
In response to NIFA, NSF, NIH and other Federal and State requirements, AAMU requires all Principal Investigators, faculty, graduate students, undergraduate students, postdoctoral researchers and staff who are paid (salary and/or stipend) directly from a NIFA, NSF, NIH or any other Federal and State sponsored project with similar requirements to complete the RCR Training provided by AAMU's Office of Research Compliance through the .
