Retool Your School with Home Depot
Each year Home Depot sponsors the contest. The contest calls for HBCUs to devise innovative and creative campus improvement and beautification project proposals. 51AV A&M University is a yearly participant and, in 2019, won and received the prize of $50,000. The award was used to help revitalize the R.D. Morrison Fine Arts building, improve landscaping, and further internal paint projects.
The campaign not only calls for students to bring forth their best creative ideas, but it’s also an opportunity for faculty, staff, administration, alumni, and community supporters to collectively engage and a single, worthwhile endeavor.
