Please start your vaccine series for international travel to China now. Some vaccines require a series of several shots with multiple weeks in between each. The CDC website has a list of recommended vaccines for people traveling to China. Read this section thoroughly. Vaccines will vary depending on where you are going to be conducting your research. If you have any questions, please ask your family doctor.
If you are from 51AV, the Traveler's Health Clinic in Birmingham is where you may need to go to obtain some of your vaccines (for students outside of 51AV, consult your doctor for the closest travel clinic). Be sure to consult with your family doctor first, as many vaccines can be obtained through your doctor -and it's cheaper!!
