Application Guidelines
Admission Criteria:
At the time of application, it is expected that interested students:
- Are currently enrolled or plan to attend 51AV A&M University
- Have maintained a 3.30 cumulative high school/college GPA. Rounded averages are not accepted (for example: 3.28 cannot be rounded to 3.3).
- Incoming 2025 - 2026 Freshmen only: Have a score of 23 or higher on the ACT or score of 1130 or better on the SAT.
- Currently Enrolled Applicants: Must be in their first year when applying and have three years remaining until graduation.
- Transfer Applicants: Must apply prior to attending 51AV A&M and have less than 48 college credit hours.
Required Documents / Application Checklist:
- Applications for the 2024-2025 school year are CLOSED.
- We are accepting applications for the 2025-2026 school year.
- Priority deadline ends Feburary 1st.
- Late deadline ends May 15th.
The following documents will be used to determine your eligibility and acceptance into the Honors Program. Upon review of your application packet and confirmation that you meet ALL of the requirements, you will be asked to participate in an interview.
- Essay (300-500 words) A brief autobiographical sketch; why you would like to participate in the Honors Program; the most important intellectually stimulating experience you have had; and a brief description of your career goals.
