Verification
Verification is a process mandated by the U.S. Department of Education to confirm the accuracy of the information provided on the FAFSA. Students who are selected for verification will be required to provide certain documents to the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid before their financial aid application can be processed. Examples of some documents that may be requested include:

Other documents may be requested as needed to process your financial aid application. The Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships will send you email notifications with instructions on how to access your missing requirements. Check your AAMU Bulldog e-mail account often, and make sure you submit documents as quickly as possible.
How do I complete verification?
We’ve made it easy! AAMU has partnered with for students and parents. Students who are selected will begin receiving notifications from KHEAA to create an account to begin reviewing and electronically submitting all required documents. After you account has been created you will begin receiving periodic calls, emails and texts reminding you to complete all requirements before your file can be reviewed.
Be sure to complete verification if selected, because not doing so may delay or cancel your federal financial aid.
