Teacher VS. Students Poetry Slam
The Society of Lyrically Advanced Poests presents the Teachers Vs. Poets Poetry Slam. This events will take place on April 3rd at 7:00 p.m. in the Wellness Center.
March Madness: An Open Memoir to a Matriarch
Last Friday, March 22, Dr. Yolanda Toney led our March creative writing workshop, titled March Madness: An Open Memoir to a Matriarch. Attendees were invited to write biographical sketch of a matriarch in their family.
Our last creative writing workshop will take place on Friday, April 19, led by Ms. Kiietti Walker-Parker.
All creative writing workshops are from 12-1pm, and located in CCN 125.

New Year, New You Creative Writing Event
The AAMU Department of English and Foreign Languages' first creative writing workshop for the spring semester will take place on Friday, February 16 hosted by Ms. Gentry Simmons. At the "New Year, New You" session, there will be a short presentation and a writing prompt. Writers will be encouraged to present their works for all to enjoy. Workshops are held in the Writing Center in Carver Complex North, Room 125, from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. Light refreshments are offered.
