Training Opportunity
AAMU, Master of Social Work program provides an opportunity for financial support through three training grants for MSW students. They are Behavioral Health Workforce Training Program II Fellows funded by Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), Opioid Impacted Families Support Training Program funded by HRSA, and Child Welfare Title IV-E Grant.
Behavioral Health Workforce Training Program II Fellows (BHWTP Fellows) designs for MSW students who are entering SWK 680 (Field Placement II), and who wish to enhance their skills and professional development in the area of behavioral and integrative health.
Opioid Impacted Families Support Training Program (OIFST Fellows) is for MSW students in 2- or 3-year program who wish to work with families impacted by Opioids use disorders (OUD) or other substance abuse disorders (SUD)s.
Child Welfare Title IV-E Grant is designed to enhance the knowledge and skills of all social work students with a special focus on MSW students in the Family and Child Welfare Concentration and BSW students who are interested in working immediately at DHR in Child Welfare after graduation or plan to enroll in AAMU’s MSW Program with a concentration in Family and Child Welfare.
