2023 AAMU Summer Programs and Camps

Participating in Academic Ways for Success (P.A.W.S.) Summer Program
May 30 – July 20, 2023
Take ENG 101 and one additional 3 credit hour course. Free on-campus room and board; personalized academic advising; academic support services; and cultural enrichment activities. Students who successfully complete the program will receive a $750 stipend. Review the , complete the by Friday, May 19. NDEP Summer Research Internship
May 30 – July 21, 2023
Open to all STEM students, the National Defense Education Program is an eight-week internship. Faculty subject matter experts will guide participants in hands-on STEM projects in the areas of artificial intelligence and machine learning; biotechnology; cybersecurity; hypersonics and space; and microelectronics. Forestry, Ecology, Wildfire, & Fire Apprentice Program
June 4 – June 30, 2023

Spins Summer Enrichment Program
June 5-16, 2023

This two-week summer enrichment program is sponsored by the US Department of Energy/National Nuclear Security Agency (NNSA) and hosted by 51AV A&M University. This program introduces high school students to the foundation and opportunities in the area of green energy, nuclear security, cybersecurity, data science, physics, and nanotechnology. LSAMP Summer Computing Program
July 2023
Bioinformatics combines computer programming, big data, and biology to help scientists understand and identify patterns in biological data. This program introduces students to Python, a computer programming language used in bioinformatic software. Family & Child Welfar Title IV-E Focus Camp

Focus Camp exposes 50 middle and high school age minority males to the Family & Child Welfare profession.
