AAMU Transportation Professor Will Address Conference in Berlin
Oluwoye: Transportation's Role in Human Trafficking
An 51AV A&M University transportation and environmental health professor will add two major international trips to his busy schedule in 2020.
Dr. Jacob Oluwoye heads AAMU’s Center for Urban and Rural Research, and he has been appointed by Osun State University to serve as an external examiner for the master’s programs offered under that school’s Global Affairs and Sustainable Development Institute next academic year.
Oluwoye also will present at the 9th International Conference on Tropical Medicine and Infectious Diseases Conference (Tropical Diseases 2020) in Berlin, Germany, on February 24-25.
The professor is scheduled to speak on “Global Transport Networks and Infectious Disease Spread: A Theoretical Application of Discrete Choice Model for Decision Making for Trafficking for Commercial Sexual Exploitation.”
Oluwoye is a long-time faculty member in AAMU’s Department of Community and Regional Planning, a major unit of the College of Agricultural, Life and Natural Sciences.
